Disadvantages of a Fake Sony Ericsson Headset
Last week I was victimized twice by fake Sony Ericsson headsets. They said it was original and I believed them as the headsets really looked like authentic Sony Ericsson products. I didn’t even know that they fake headsets now.
The reason I bought these were to upgrade my old ones. They were still ok but I wanted to try the HPM-82 (the one with the remote). I guess after this I’ll just stick to my good old HPM-82.
I took some pictures of the "suppossed" Sony Ericsson headsets for all of you to see.
Looks really original don’t they not?
Let’s go over on some of the disadvantages I encountered when I used these fake products.
1. Phone Jack
The phone jack may look like the real one and may fit the phone but you’ll soon find out that its not firmly in place and gets unplugged really easy.
This gets pretty annoying when you’re actually using the headset already. May it be listening to music or answering a call. One time I even thought that the conversation was over. It turned out that the headset just got unplugged.
2. Call quality
A fake Sony Ericsson headset and a P1i really do not get along. There was a very noticeable ticking sound whenever I called using my P1i with a fake HPM-82 headset. I also noticed that with a fake HPM-70.
Maybe it was feedback, maybe it wasn’t. What I just know is that it was annoying.
3. Music quality.
My original HPM-62 sounded far better than a fake HPM-82. Enough said.
I’ve discussed in a different article on how to detect or distinguish a fake Sony Ericsson headset. I suggest that you read it as well.
